Nottingham Forest make opening offer of £27m for Anthony Elanga replacement

Nottingham Forest are starting to step up their attempts to sign new players during the summer transfer window.

Forest have sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle this month and with the future of Morgan Gibbs-White up in the air, Nuno Espirito Santo needs reinforcements.

Igor Jesus has checked in at Forest from Botafogo, with his defensive teammate Jair Cunha also joining him in the East Midlands.

However, that’s been as fruitful as it’s been so far during the transfer window to date and more new players are going to be needed before the season really gets started

Nottingham Forest make first bid for Dan Ndoye

According to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, Forest’s first bid for Ndoye comes in at around £27 million

It’s not clear how this will sit with Bologna, who have been claimed to want to recoup around £37 million for the winger’s signature if they’re to sell him.

Forest are keen to negotiate a deal to sign the Switzerland international and are seemingly pressing ahead, with Ndoye already accepting the terms of the contract on offer from Forest.

Forest are clearly beginning to prioritise Ndoye for the spot vacated by Elanga and it will be interesting to see what deal the Reds can do for the player.

Ndoye can be superb Forest signing

Last season, Ndoye scored nine goals and claimed six assists with Bologna securing a place in the Europa League after winning the Coppa Italia.

Now, the 24-year-old looks set to be on the move, however, with a number of players being eyed by Forest to fill the spot that Elanga has left behind.

Ndoye fits the profile of what Forest have been typically trying to sign in the transfer market and as a result, he could prove to be a very shrewd signing.

Forest will have to try and get this one done quickly, however, with Napoli also keen to sign the player.
